It’s a really easy to use OSR system for psychedelic sci-fi fantasy stuff.
There’s so much of it in such a tiny package. The setting is so strange and fantastical that it’s hard to figure out what the hell is going on. You might roll on a random table during character creation and finding out you’re a “Befouler of Ponds”. What does that mean? It’s up to you and your players to figure that out at the table.
There’s an expansive ecosystem of really great Troika modules. Some of my favorites are The Moon King Wants to Party and The Hand of God.
The book itself is one of my favorite books to look at and use at the table. The art is weird and perfect for the setting.
